Private Sessions
Private sessions are a great way to start, deepen or come back to your yoga practice. Get personalized instructions based on the needs of your body, mind and spirit and get help with your unique difficulties or injuries with the teacher. Become more aware of your old patterns and discover new ways of dealing with them!
Common reasons for private sessions are:
- Stress
- Injuries
- Back pain
- Emotional challenges
- Breathing problems
- Chronic Pain or injuries
- Digestion or internal issues
- Lack of energy
- Pregnancy
- Overweight or underweight
For beginner students it is a great way to get started safely and perhaps to build your home practice. If you have an injury or are coming back to yoga after sickness a few private sessions can help you regain confidence and learn to work within your limitations. Have you been practicing a long time already? We can help you progress further into areas that interest you.
Common goals of private instruction
- Special Needs Instruction
Some people have needs that are not met by group classes. In a private session the teacher works one on one with the student for a variety of personal or health related reasons. Special needs instruction is most successful when done in a series of sessions. We suggest a minimum of 5 sessions and if you like it, continue as long as it supports you.
- Home Practice Development
Practicing at home is a beautiful way to create self-care. Or perhaps you prefer to have the teacher come to you house once a week for a period of time. Private sessions usually include evaluation of your personal goals, strategies to make your practice consistent, and a written practice plan. The teacher will guide you through the practice and if wanted, will guide you on how to practice on your own safely and effectively.
- Preparation for Group Classes
Perhaps you are completely new to yoga and you are uncertain if a specific class is suitable for your level. Or you have an injury that you are worried about. Taking a few private class can prepare you for taking group classes safely and with confidence.

Appointments available at Yoga Moves in the day time or weekends mostly – or at your place. Travel costs for instructor are to be paid directly to instructor (+/- €12 depending on distance).
Small group lessons (up to 4 people) may also take advantage of these rates. Every extra person add €20
Occasionally a more senior teacher may ask more (15-30% more) for their sessions.
