Diana Hoogesteger

Diana's great fascination and inquiry in life has for long been the deeper understanding of human behavior and experiencial existence. She found herself studying Theater and Education, at the Arts School in Utrecht, Netherlands, where she went through an acting and physical training based on the teachings of Jacques Lecoq. Aside from that she discovered the art and teachings of yoga, which supported and inspired her to the point to make it her main study and practice in the coming years.

She did her first teacher training at Yoga Moves in 2002 and a second level in 2005, following her studies and teaching at the same school till 2008. Her main inspiration has been the Ashtanga practice, which she teaches with much love, but she's deeply inspired and is still exploring other methods, finding different layers of understanding. Diana's practice is strongly influenced by the fluid approach of Shiva Rea, the playful devoted teachings of Dharma Mittra, the loving and disciplined practice of Kathiza Satya, the consistent, precise and varied teachings of Hilary Menting, the engaged, faithful, profound and human teachings of Ernesto Rudra and many other wonderful teachers. Diana has been sharing and instructing yoga since 2004, having participated in festivals, taught in schools, sport centers, given workshops and assisted teacher trainings, taught group as well as individual classes. She now resides in San Miguel Allende, México, where she continues her teaching and learning :-)
