Embrace the flow and allow the prana to guide you.
Yoga Moves is happy to announce that we are now working together with Shiva Rea and will be offering Prana Flow Teacher Training Modules regularly. Of course we're thrilled to have Shiva Rea and Daniel Odier in our studio in April. But if this was sold out before you could reserve a spot, Simon Parks workshop is a great place to embrace the Prana Flow! A second module with Coral Brown will be offered in Fall 2013.
Prana Flow
Prana Flow is an energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective of Teachers. Students of all levels are empowered to experience prana - the universal source of breath, life-energy and conscious intelligence - as the navigating source of yoga practice and vital living. Practitioners learn classical and innovative approaches to vinyasa yoga and the state of flow drawn from Krishnamacharya's teachings, Tantra, Ayurveda, Bhakti, Somatics and Simon's teaching experience from the last fifteen years.
Embodying the Flow Teacher's Intensive
This teacher’s intensive will focus on the theory and practice of vinyasa yoga, encompassing both its traditional roots and contemporary innovations. We will cover underlying principles of practice and alignment, the integration of pranayama, bandhas and asana, creative sequencing and adjustments and the cultivation of meditation.
Embodying the Flow is open to intermediate students and aspiring teachers to experience the essential teachings of vinyasa - much more than a technique or style of yoga. This weekend is a paradigm-shift into experiencing the currents of prana as the underlying moving intelligence guiding the flow of our body, practice and life.
You will learn:
- Universal Vinyasa - the cycles, sequences and patterns of nature
- Introduction to the Tantric Embodiment and the five movements of prana underlying all of the asanas and movements of nature.
- Learn Shiva's innovative "Wave Sequencing™ methodology and apply it to teaching
- Learning energetic alignment and hands-on assist for 14 core asanas or sun salutations
- Learning classical namaskars and Shiva's innovative dancing warrior and rhythmic vinyasa sequences that are practiced around the world
- Solar and Lunar Practices - Learning class sequences to creatively adapt to all levels and energetic states.
