Christine McArdle-Oquendo

Christine McArdle-Oquendo was born in NYC and raised in Madrid, Spain. She holds a Masters in Education and has taught K-12 in public and private settings, in suburbia and in inner city. She is particularly drawn to alternative methods of education and has had training and worked in both Montessori and Waldorf schools. Christine began her journey into Yoga during her first year of teaching and has since always combined the two practices. After receiving her 200 hour training, she was introduced to John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga and has been dedicated to the light of her Anusara practice ever since. Creator of OM Shree OM, a Teacher Training Program for Children’s Yoga, Christine has led over 150 teachers in USA, always emphasizing the need for inspiring our children to open their hearts and connect to the divine in and around them. Mother of two fantastic boys, Marcelo and Alex, she and her husband Abelardo Oquendo currently live in Granada, Spain, living, teaching and leading retreats. Christine is also a co-founder of World Family Yoga, which offers family yoga retreats to magnificent places around the globe (www.worldfamilyyoga.com).
