Birthlight Childbirth Preparation

The Birthlight Childbirth Preparation course will prepare you to teach birth workshops for women and their partners. These workshops and courses are very popular and in addition to being a very important aspect of the birthing process, it offers an introduction to yoga principles to people that may otherwise never come in contact with yoga.

The program follows the Birthlight philosophy and is based on the principles of yoga. From a holistic view we will cover preparation with movement, positioning and the breath. The course will include practical ideas on how to communicate and impart knowledge whilst empowering women to embrace their deeper instincts. We will explore ways to help partners to be involved in the birth experience and to support a woman with confidence and understanding.

Who is this course for?

This course is open to all qualified or training perinatal and yogacise teachers, to midwives and childbirth preparation teachers interested in the Birthlight approach.

The course is one of our new series of Birthlight short courses that can be used for professional development purposes by Birthlight members and are accessible to other health and yoga professionals with relevant qualifications.

Yoga Moves is an official Birthlight Training Center in Europe

It is vital to reconsider ancient knowledge about the unique female power of reproduction & birth if we are to change the current trend towards intervention during pregnancy, labour and birth. The Aka women have allowed Ingrid to share their wisdom with women in the West to help them birth well. Ingrid's aim is to enable women to be in charge of their own bodies, birth in dignity and rejoice in their femininity and motherhood. Learn more about Ingrid here.
