Learn to teach yoga

Yoga Moves is happy to be able to offer not only our own in-house and well respected teacher training program (300+ hours, Yoga Alliance Approved), but we are also teaming up with other wonderful teachers from around the world and have asked them to come offer their teacher training programs and intensives for our expanding teacher base in the Benelux. In January 2009, graduates from our level 1 teacher training can join us to complete their training into the second level course.

What's the difference between a Teacher Training & an Intensive?

Teacher Training has more strict entrance and evaluation requirements and when you gain your certificate, you are evaluated as having completed the minimum level of skills and knowledge needed to pass. (Attendance is not enough). An intensive or a workshop aimed at teachers requires no evaluation of skills gained and therefore may not offer participants a certificate in that body of work. We believe that teaching yoga is a privilege, and should be respected by attending and graduating from a teacher training and not an intensive. We also believe that teachers are served enormously by continuing their education throughout their lives! Thus, continuing education by attending workshops and intensives are important ways for teachers to stay connected.

We conform to the standards of Yoga Alliance USA and respect teachers who do not overstate nor understate their experience and study of yoga, and remain honest to themselves and others. If you like to know more about the topic of certification read on.
