Somatic Yoga

When your muscles don’t remember how to relax any more, this can cause pain, stiffness or other sensations that create a difficult relationship with your body. In somatic yoga you bring awareness to your blind spots. By consciously and slowly sensing and moving, you allow the brain to get control over the muscles again so you can move more freely. By repeating exercises and visiting them over and over again, you teach our muscles to relax and to stay relaxed.

Expect

  • The repetitive invitation to inquire – how can I move with more ease?

  • Slow and very conscious movements

  • Focus on the muscles that are contracting and focus on the muscles relaxing

  • Few to no passive and long stretches. We visit asanas but we don’t stay very long in them

  • Attention for movement pattern evolution has given us

  • Playful moving, we remember how it is to roll and move freely as a child

Somatic 28°C is done in our warm infrared heated room.
