New at Yoga Moves: Strength Workout

If you would like to build more core strength, our new Strength Workout may be a useful addition to your week! A strong core supports many yoga postures and helps with stability and control in movement.

This 45-minute Strength Workout is centred around core training. You train your abdominals, back and stabilising muscles through short strength exercises set to music. During the class we use light dumbbells, resistance bands and bodyweight exercises to build functional strength.

The training is dynamic and structured in short sets that keep the class clear and active. It works well alongside yoga, as a stronger core can support posture and stability in many poses.

The class is taught by our new teacher Wendy.

Wendy has loved movement and music since childhood and started teaching sports at the age of seventeen. Supporting people in movement has been part of her work ever since. After living with a severe form of long covid that left her unable to move freely for two years, she came to understand in a very direct way what recovery can ask of the body. This period deepened her interest in the brain and the stress system.

In her Strength Workout classes the focus is on strength from within. Through precise exercises she works on a strong core, improved posture and greater body awareness. Her classes combine challenge, music and personal attention. You leave the room stronger and with renewed energy 💫
