Advance Your Yoga

300-Hour Teacher Training

Deepen Your FLOW · Refine Your Voice · Teach with Purpose

Yoga Moves Utrecht · Starts April 2027 · Yoga Alliance Registered

Ready to Evolve?

300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Utrecht | Yoga Alliance RYT 300 Registered.

Begin as early as Fall 2026 or start April 2027 for the smoothest flow through the full arc.

Deepen Your Flow · Refine Your Voice · Teach With Purpose

Advanced practice begins with learning to listen — to your body, your breath, your own inner voice — and to respond from there. Advanced teaching grows from the same capacity: seeing clearly, responding skilfully, and creating meaningful change for the person in front of you.

This training isn’t about collecting more poses or more information. It’s about maturing as a teacher — building the confidence, clarity, and skill to teach from a place of presence, depth, and lived experience.

Advance Your Yoga is our 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training in Utrecht, for certified teachers and dedicated practitioners who are ready to go beyond the foundations: to deepen their practice, refine their teaching, and discover what they’re here to share. As one of the most established advanced yoga teacher trainings in the Netherlands, we combine embodied Vinyasa and Prana Flow practice with therapeutics, sequencing, subtle energy, and personal development into a single Yoga Alliance RYT 300 certified pathway.

Who This Is For

This training is built for:

  • Certified yoga teachers (200-hour) ready to go beyond the basics

  • Teachers looking to evolve their style, voice, or specialty

  • Practitioners seeking a deep, structured journey of personal and professional growth

  • Anyone ready to commit to live, embodied training in a grounded community

If your longer-term goal is to design curricula, lead your own 200- or 300-hour trainings, or offer continuing education workshops, an advanced credential like this one matters — those roles are fewer, but they pay better and position you as a senior educator.

What We Teach — and The Pathway

What Is Prana Vinyasa Flow?

At the heart of every module is a shared lineage: The principles of (Prana) Vinyasa Flow. Over decades of teaching, our faculty has come to understand this work not as a single style, but as a profound technology — one that can move through many different expressions depending on what’s needed.

A vinyasa practice, as advanced practice becomes meditation in motion. It can be a fluid, dynamic Power Flow; a deep, slow, somatic Lunar Flow; or a therapeutic approach to moving with awareness, adapted to real bodies with real limitations. What ties these together isn’t a fixed sequence or a signature style — it’s a set of underlying principles: how breath, energy, and awareness move through the body, and how movement itself can be intelligent, adaptive, and alive.

We don’t just teach you sequences. We teach you the how and the why, so you can apply these principles to any style of yoga you already teach, and to any population you serve — not just repeat what you were taught here.

That’s also why a program built from modules as different as a fast-paced Fluid-Power Flow and a slow, restorative Lunar Flow still holds together as one coherent path — they’re not competing styles, they’re different expressions of the same underlying technology.

Whether you're drawn to full vinyasa flow, therapeutic yoga, hands-on adjustments, yoga philosophy, or creative sequencing — this training will meet you where you are, and help you grow to where you're called to go.

Advance Your Yoga isn’t a stack of unrelated workshops.
It’s a single developmental arc — each module builds the ground for the next,
moving from your own body outward into your teaching, and finally into your own voice and contribution.

The Pathway - One Journey, Five phases

Begin with your own body.

Learn to understand and respond to others.

Develop your voice - and discover what you are here to share.

1.
Learn to Feel

Begin with your own body. Deepen your sensitivity to breath, movement, energy, and inner experience. Develop a practice that is more embodied, responsive, and alive.
CONNECTIONS | ROOTS | EMBODYING THE MOON | PHILOSOPHY & SUBTLE ENERGY

2.
Learn to Create

Explore how an intelligent practice unfolds. Learn to work with progression, movement diversity, and sequence design to create experiences that are purposeful, adaptable, and deeply embodied.
CREATIVE SEQUENCING | WINGS

3. Understand and Adapt

Look beyond the pose to understand the person. Explore anatomy, therapeutics, Ayurveda, and the physical and energetic factors that shape an individual practice.
THERAPEUTIC WISDOM OF YOGA ·| AYURVEDA FOR MODERN LIVING

4.
See and Respond

Develop the ability to recognize what’s actually happening — in yourself and in the people you teach. Build confidence in knowing when to guide, adapt, support, challenge, or simply hold space.
READING BODIES

5.
Find Your Voice,

Bring It Into the World

This is where the real inner work happens. Inner Compass helps you gently deconstruct old habits of mind and rebuild your teaching — and your sense of direction — around your actual strengths and natural preferences, not someone else’s model of what a yoga teacher should be.
That clarity feeds directly into your Personal Project: a chance to open doors you might not yet imagine, supported by real, practical skills in communication, marketing, and planning — so your project doesn’t stay a nice idea, it becomes something you can offer the world.
INNER COMPASS | INTEGRATION

New Round Starts April 2027: 11 Modules in order planned:

1. CONNECTIONS = developing sensitivity in your own body and learning foundational alignment, breath, strength and support.
2. ROOTS = experiencing the energetic dimension of yoga through prana, vayus, breath and energetic alignment.
3. PEAK POSE = learning how to design the class through intelligent sequencing, progression and a clear creative methodology.
4. THERAPEUTIC WISDOM = understanding why bodies behave differently through anatomy, physiology, movement science and therapeutic principles—and learning how to adapt yoga intelligently.
5. WINGS = expanding how you move through functional movement, movement diversity, embodied flow and Soft Power.
6. READING BODIES = seeing the student in front of you and knowing how to respond through observation, communication, cueing and appropriate support.
7. EMBODYING THE MOON = learning how to downshift through movement—using breath, rhythm, gentle flow and embodied awareness to bridge activation and rest.
8. PHILOSOPHY / PRANAYAMA = exploring the inner practices and deeper philosophical dimensions of yoga.
9. INNER COMPASS = understanding who you are and what matters to you—clarifying values, strengths, purpose, communication and direction so your teaching grows from a more authentic place.
10. YOGA & AYURVEDA = learning how to read qualities and rhythms—using the doshas, seasons and Ayurvedic principles to adapt practice and teaching to what is needed now.
11. INTEGRATION = turning what you care about into meaningful contribution—researching, applying and sharing your learning through a Personal Project, while integrating the whole 300-hour journey into your future teaching and direction.

What’s Changed Since Last ROUND?

Everything is now included. No electives to track down.

Last year’s program asked you to fill 45 hours of electives on your own, choosing from a rotating list of outside workshops. That’s gone. Every hour of this advanced yoga teacher training is now part of one curated, integrated 300 hour path — no separate shopping list, no guessing which electives “count.”

It’s more depth, not less breadth: the full curriculum now lives inside a single, coherent arc, taught by a faculty chosen specifically for how their modules build on each other — not a rotating cast of unrelated guest teachers. This is what sets Advance Your Yoga apart from other 300-hour yoga teacher trainings: a genuinely designed pathway, not a menu.

More time to digest. We pack it in! You will learn a lot, so we created even more space between modules to give you more room to breathe and digest! Why hurry a good thing?

We have added 3 important modules: Connections | Somatic Strength, Breath & Embodied Yoga with Hilary; Ayurveda For Modern Living with Jorine and the Integration Module more clearly defined.

A community you can lean on. Because this cohort trains largely in person, you'll build real peer and mentor relationships — not just classmates for a weekend, but a support network that outlasts the training itself.

A note on our history.
Yoga Moves & Hilary Brown helped bring Prana Vinyasa Flow to the Netherlands over 20 years ago, when we hosted Shiva Rea for many years to teach and help us grow. She is considered one of the most influential modern yoginis shaping modern vinyasa yoga. During this coming year, Shiva isn’t on our core faculty; however, Advance Your Yoga students are encouraged and will receive a discount on Shiva’s modules when she does come back to the Netherlands.

Some Stories So Far

Most people arrive already sensing what’s missing from their current approach to yoga.

“I would love to get deeper with my students, away from the robot-yoga.”

Not more poses. Not more information. Something closer to their own voice — a way of practicing, and teaching, that actually feels like theirs.

“I feel less robot, more alive.”
- Birgit, after her first module

That shift doesn’t wait until the end of the program. It starts early — in the first weekend, on the mat, in the body. Students describe it less as learning something new and more as noticing what they’d been missing: moving on autopilot for years, then suddenly not.

This story isn’t finished.

Our current cohort is still mid-journey — deep in their Personal Projects, still discovering what they’re building toward. What we’re seeing so far isn’t just people getting better at yoga. It’s people learning to professionalize what they offer while staying close to what drew them to yoga in the first place — finding the version of teaching that’s actually theirs, not a copy of someone else’s. If you join now, this is the story you’d be stepping into — one still actively being shaped by the people in it.

“How is it possible that I practiced and studied for so long without learning about this?”

Not everyone’s shift looks the same. For one student, the turning point wasn’t dynamic movement at all, but the opposite: On our four-day retreat where we practiced Slowing Down Yoga, she finally let her stop performing and start listening.

“I practiced most of it with my eyes closed, really tuning in to myself.” - —-- - Esme, retreat participant, Inner Compass

She’d tried fast-paced classes before and never gone back — “disoriented, confused, almost hyperventilating.” What worked instead was slower, stronger, and quieter: a practice she could actually feel.

That’s the thread running through all of it — not a technique anyone picked up, but a capacity they grew: to feel before performing, to notice before reacting, to teach from what’s actually true for them rather than a script borrowed from someone else.

…from the first day, Hilary and Marianne helped me uncover the red thread in my life. Throughout the retreat we explored, uncovered, and deeply worked through things that were old and long held. It was truly special to be able to do that kind of work.
- Lucy, Yoga Teacher & Explorer

Over the retreat experience:
“It was a heart-opening experience that helped me see myself more clearly and better understand what drives me, what matters to me, and where I want to listen more closely to my own inner compass.”
- Andre | Softwear Project Manager and Yoga Teacher
