On October 10, World Mental Health Day, the world reflects on the importance of mental health. Yoga introduces another rhythm, one that helps the nervous system settle and creates space for calm. Studies describe outcomes such as lower stress responses and better sleep, and research also points to benefits for people experiencing anxiety or depression.
Beyond what research shows, many people describe yoga in personal ways. A class can bring a sense of release or leave the mind clearer. Being in a room with others adds another layer of care, offering the comfort of moving together and the reminder that support can be felt in community.

World Mental Health Day reminds us how important it is to care for our mental wellbeing together. To mark this occasion, we invite members to share their practice with someone close.
From October 1 until December 31, you can bring a friend to class up to four times. Think of someone in your life who could use more ease or who might benefit from a gentle introduction to yoga. By inviting them along, you offer a simple act of care: giving them space to slow down and feel supported in a welcoming environment.
