Practice with commitment

Meet your resistance and learn to grow around it

Have you ever considered doing yoga for several days in a row? Perhaps you have taken some yoga classes before, but have never experienced the full benefits when practicing yoga consistently. The Yoga Moves 10-day yoga challenge can help you with that.

Starting 12 June, we begin together: yoga for 10 consecutive days. The purpose of doing this challenge together is to support each other in building momentum: momentum to get us out of bed, or go to bed earlier. Momentum to live in balance, to slow down or to get stronger. It’s about what YOU need in your life right now.

During such a challenge, yoga for 10 days in a row, may seem like a lot, but it is a great way to discover how transformative yoga can be when you work at it with dedication. After all, it's not just about getting your body in shape, but also about improving your mental and emotional well-being.

One of the biggest challenges during these 10 days will be to resist the temptation to give up or be distracted by other things. But just by meeting that resistance and growing around it, you will find how much stronger and more determined you have become.

Yoga is not only good for improving physical strength and flexibility. It also helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression. By practicing yoga regularly, you become more aware of what is going on in your body and mind, allowing you to better respond to challenging situations in your life.

A 10-day yoga challenge can be a great way to take your practice to the next level. It is important to remember that it is not about perfection, but about dedication and consistency.

Consider this: what kind of change do you want to see - in yourself, your energy, your body, your mind? What kind of challenge fits you now, at this moment in your life? Would 10 days of Hot Yoga be a gift to yourself? Or do you want to slow down? Then, make a plan for attending classes that support that direction.

6 extra tips for helping you succeed

  1. Tell your friends and ask them to help you meet your goals.

  2. Plan your classes and make sure your work, babysitter, family, etc. know you will be away.

  3. Be realistic. Choose a plan that challenges you - but is also doable. If you make it so hard to do, the likelihood of failing is too great. It's more useful to succeed and build from there than to fail.

  4. If you miss a day - don't quit. Find a way to practice on your own - you can do this! The challenge is for YOU!

  5. Celebrate along the way. Find ways of treating yourself for a job well done.

  6. Expect some resistance. Invite the resistance. Enjoy the resistance. We grow from it.

So, what are you waiting for? Challenge yourself and discover how transformative yoga can be when you fully commit to it!

End your last day of the challenge, the 21st of June, with the free Summer Solstice event by doing 108 salutations to the sun. Talking about resistance… But, I can guarantee: you’ll be amazed by the power of flow when you drop your mind and allow deep repetition to take over.
