Inner Compass: know yourself RETrEAT
With Hilary Brown & Marianne van Wetter
Slow & Somatics Yoga plus Nature & Personal Alignment.
A deep dive into who you are — beyond the mat
We invite you to step out of your daily rhythm and into nature, combining walking, personal reflection, and yoga as tools for inner alignment. You will explore essential questions about your path as a yogi, teacher, and human being:
What do I stand for?
Where am I going?
What do I need to live and teach from authenticity?
Through embodied inquiry, walking in nature, silence, coaching, and movement, you reconnect with what truly matters — so that your teaching springs from lived experience, not just knowledge. You find the vision of your life going forward…its an experience you'll carry with you for life.
Are you ready to deepen your path? — not just as a yogi or yoga teacher, but as a human being?
You want to live and teach from a place of authenticity
You feel a shift stirring inside, and want to explore what it means
You sense there’s more potential in you – and you’re curious what it looks like
You want clarity about your direction, values, and impact
You're looking for a way to bring your inner growth into your teaching
You long to reconnect with your own compass.
“This is not just another training. It’s a journey inward, guided by your breath, your steps, and the questions that matter most.”
This module weaves together threads:
Professional Vision – Get clear on who or what you truly want and begin shaping your unique path forward.
Personal Insight – Through a guided Quest-Trek Retreat, you’ll dive deep into self-exploration, support4d by yoga. This immersive experience will help you uncover your edges, strengths, and inner direction
Slow Somatic Flow: Practices and theory - Explore slow and somatic based yoga approaches; slow down and f-e-e-l what stirs inside, digest the questions themselves and learn to trust your answers.
Why This Approach?
As a yoga practitioner, you are already attuned to the body and breath. This module expands that awareness into the realm of purpose, values, and leadership. Walking in nature opens up new perspectives. Combined with coaching and yoga, it becomes a gateway to clarity, courage, and transformation.
You won’t just learn about inner leadership — you’ll walk it, feel it, and live it.
What you’ll take with you
A clear personal vision aligned with your values
Embodied tools to navigate change and challenge
Greater emotional resilience and clarity of purpose
Insight into your strengths, blocks, and growth potential
Concrete goals and next steps for your life and work as a yogi
Who Is This Retreat For?
Yoga teachers seeking deeper personal and professional growth
Teacher trainees in the 300-hour Advance Your Yoga program
Practitioners interested in somatics and embodied self-inquiry
Anyone ready to reconnect with purpose and inner direction
Inner Compass — The Quest Within
Are you curious about your natural gifts, and the direction your life and teaching are asking you to move toward?
In this module, inspired by the QuestTrek approach, we begin a quiet journey inward — an exploration of how you learn, how you relate, and how you make choices when there is no clear map.
Like walking through a vast and silent landscape, Inner Compass invites you to slow down enough to recognize your patterns, your strengths, and the subtle signals that guide you toward what is true for you.
Through reflection, dialogue, and embodied inquiry, you will explore not only who you are as a __?__ (or yoga teacher), but how you navigate challenge, connection, and growth.
This is not about finding answers.
It is about learning to listen — and to trust the compass already within you.

On this day we connect with the open mind — with our curiosity. We invite you to look at life with fresh eyes, beyond judgment. As we walk through our lives, we challenge ourselves to pause, to reconsider: What do you see when you suspend your judgment? What shifts when you become truly curious — about yourself, about others? This is the beginning of your inner journey: open, inquisitive, and ready to explore.Description text goes here

Today we connect with the energy of the open heart — the space from which true connection arises, with ourselves and with others. It is the place of presence, of trust, and deep feeling. Your heart holds your core values, your desires. To hear its voice, we must become still and move beyond cynicism. Listening to the heart takes courage — it may speak truths we find uncomfortable, vulnerable, or even painful. Yet this is where authenticity begins.
-
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
-
What begins to emerge when you truly let go — when you are fully present, deeply connected to yourself and the field around you? Connected to source. What starts to rise naturally when you align with your own flow, when your will, heart, and mind are in sync? This is the space of emergence — of allowing what wants to be born through you to come forward. What becomes possible when you surrender to what is meant?
Introduction to Somatics & Slow Yoga
During out time in retreat we will deepen your understanding of subtle energy in yoga teaching and practice, focusing on breath awareness, energetic presence, and the balance between strength and surrender. Explore how to integrate these elements into Slow & Mindful moves to create a more refined, meditative, and energetically attuned yoga experience.

To preserve the integrity of the QuestTrek, we won’t share a detailed schedule in advance. The general daily rhythm looks like this:
We start the morning around 7:00 AM with yoga, followed by breakfast, and then the day’s program begins.
Walking is a major part of the program. Along the way and at various locations, you’ll engage in different forms of inquiry related to your personal QuestTrek intention. Late afternoon or evening we will have a somatics or end of day movement and sharing time.
