What Moves You: Milan
Lightness, energy and a good start to the day
Milan started practising at Yoga Moves in 2018. Over the years, one thing has always stayed with him: the humour teachers bring into the room.
For Milan, a yoga class can be focused without becoming too serious. He appreciates teachers who keep the practice light and make space for a little humour along the way. It is part of what makes him look forward to returning.
What brings him to class is also the feeling afterwards. He values the balance between the meditative side of yoga and the intensity of a physically demanding practice. Sometimes that means leaving the studio sweaty, with fresh energy for the rest of his day.
“I feel energetic afterwards. Reborn.”
The effect can be subtle, but it stays with him. After class, Milan feels more productive and ready to begin his day. Knowing that Yoga Moves is around the corner makes it easy to keep yoga part of his week, while the variety of classes gives him different ways to practise.
“I’m really grateful there is Yoga Moves. And I’m also grateful it’s actually around the corner from me.”
As Yoga Moves celebrates its 25th anniversary, Milan already knows what he hopes comes next.
“I hope for another 25 years, or maybe longer. And if it will be the next 25 years, I’ll be there.”
