Why You’ll Want to Try Inferno Hot Pilates in Utrecht
A new kind of heat is arriving at Yoga Moves. Starting Thursday 18 September, we are the first studio in Utrecht to offer Inferno Hot Pilates. This powerful class combines the precision of Pilates with the intensity of interval training, all set in a heated room that takes your workout to another level.
What is Inferno Hot Pilates?
Inferno Hot Pilates (IHP) was created by Gabriella Walters in Las Vegas and has since spread to studios around the world. The concept is simple yet highly effective: it blends the core principles of Pilates—alignment, stability, and mindful movement—with high-intensity interval training. Classes are taught in a room heated to around 35 °C, which helps warm up the muscles, increase circulation, and encourage a deep, satisfying sweat.
Why it feels so different
If you know Pilates, you’ll recognize the focus on form and controlled movement. What sets IHP apart is the pace and the energy in the room. Expect dynamic intervals with upbeat music, quick transitions, and plenty of motivation from both the teacher and your fellow students. The heat amplifies the challenge, but it also supports flexibility and focus. Instead of a quiet and slow workout, you’ll find yourself in a buzzing class that feels like a celebration of strength.
The benefits you’ll notice
IHP is designed to work the whole body in a low-impact way, which means it’s gentle on the joints while still delivering serious results. Expect to experience:
Strengthened core and better posture
Leaner, more toned muscles
Elevated stamina and cardiovascular capacity
Improved flexibility, thanks to the heated room
Deep stress relief and an energized mind
Many people walk out not only physically stronger but also mentally lighter, with stress left on the mat.
Meet your teacher: Claudia Jacobs
Claudia Jakobsen’s path into teaching started with her lifelong love of movement. Trained as a professional dancer in ballet, contemporary dance, and Argentine tango, she later discovered yoga in Amsterdam in 2003. Five years later she completed her teacher training and has been sharing her passion ever since in cities across the Netherlands and beyond.
What makes Claudia’s classes stand out is her mix of discipline and warmth. She believes in practice as a way to grow stronger, find focus, and stay connected to yourself. With Inferno Hot Pilates, she brings that same clarity and encouragement—helping you challenge your body, build resilience, and enjoy the fire.
