Teaching Elemental Prana Flow Namaskars for Full-Spectrum Creative
with Shiva Rea

Learning to embody the elements is a powerful teaching tools, enabling creative and effective sequencing of yoga flow.  Our body comprises all life elements - the earth's food, the sacred water in our fluid body, the metabolic and electrical fire within our cellular network, the life-giving air that nourishes every cell, and the space pervading our body.

Embody and Teach Vinyasa by experiencing the grounding roots of Sun Salutations in Pranamasana or prostrations which connect to nature and our seasonal rhythm.

  • Learn Elemental Opening movement meditations to regulate our nervous system by connecting to rhythms of nature

  •  Learn Five  Opening Movement Meditations to connect to the five elements 

  • Learn and embody four elemental prana flow namaskars: Bhumi (earth) Namaskar, Jala (water) Namaskar, Agni (fire) Namaskar, Hridaya (air) Namaskar, 

  • Cultivate Akash (space) element through Integration of the "inner arts" including Elemental Meditation 

  • Understanding the Microcosm-Macrocosm of the Elemental Body within Yoga and cross-culturally and the importance of embodying nature in soulful times 

  • Introduction to Elements and the Koshas, Doshas and Self-Care through Ayurvedic Dinacharya and Lifestyle  (Daily and Seasonal) Rhythms for Living Flow.


What is Prana Flow as taught by Shiva Rea?

Prana Flow connects you to the healing force of nature as the elements within your own body and the power to heal, balance, transform and renew.

Each practice follows one of the five elements offering a creative diversity to the flow of your day. Each series is an immersion into each element through movement meditation from opening mudra vinyasa, prana flow namaskars from classical roots through the elements, creative, intelligent sequencing of asanas, breath flow, meditative awareness, body mudra and ecstatic release into full relaxation.
