Embodying the Moon: PractiCe & Teach Lunar Flow
Learn to teach gentle & nourishing restorative vinyasa yoga.
With Simon Rowe
Lunar Approach is a gentle, fluid yoga practice…something softer than Vinyasa, yet more embodied than Yin.
People are searching for rest, regeneration and a way to recharge. They often retreat into Yin, Restorative, or Yoga Nidra classes—not because they don’t want to move, but because many Vinyasa teachers haven’t learned how to meet them where they are.
Movement & Breath as Medicine
What’s often missing from static practices like Yin, Nidra, and Restorative yoga is the very medicine students need: conscious breath, embodied movement, and fluidity. Lunar Flow offers movement as a restorative practice, inviting students to stay close to themselves, move with ease, and breathe in a way that soothes the nervous system and supports deep healing.

Learn to nourish yourself & others through fluid lunar practices, supporting regeneration & holistic embodied healing.
Why Lunar Flow Now?
We are living in a time of chronic overstimulation and fatigue. More and more students are seeking practices that support healing—not through stillness alone, but through gentleness, rhythm, and connection. Lunar Flow responds to this call with a practice rooted in breath, fluid movement, and embodied presence. It brings together the softness students crave with the subtle dynamism their bodies need to restore harmony and regenerate from within.
Who can join?
Ideal for yoga teachers eager to add gentle, embodied flow to their classes; experienced students recovering from burnout, adrenal fatigue or trauma and who want to deepen their understanding of how to practice in this way; seekers wanting to balance masculine and feminine energies through holistic lunar practices; and anyone keen to deepen their embodied study of somatics, fascia and yoga energetics.
Learn how to craft sequences that integrate:
Fluid movement instead of stillness alone.
Moving from the healing power of embodied breath
Graceful transitions rooted in gravity, softness, and surrender.
The Science of Fascia & Holistic Movement
Modern fascia research has confirmed what many embodied traditions have long known, movement is medicine. Leading fascia experts—such as Robert Schleip and Tom Myers emphasise that dynamic, whole-body movement is essential for maintaining healthy, hydrated, and resilient fascia. While styles like Yin often focus on static holds, emerging science points to the importance of holistic, multidimensional movement as a foundational practice for long-term fascia wellness, elasticity, and balance.
This training includes both theoretical frameworks and experiential practices to help you embody and teach the lunar arts.. You will learn:
The difference between solar (active) and lunar (receptive) practices and their effects on the nervous system.
How to ground body, breath, and mind as the foundation for lunar practice.
The guidelines for maintaining the receptive, parasympathetic state during lunar practice.
Applications integrating the 5 Vayus and the subtle energetics that inform lunar movement.
The distinction between relaxation and collapse, and how to maintain lightness and support in softness.
How to invite feminine, fluid qualities in contrast to rigid, static practices.
Working with gravity and yielding as somatic tools for easeful movement.
Integrating mudra, mantra, and pranayama to create sacred, soulful space.
The art of bhāvanā—cultivating mood and sacred presence through music, voice, and inner intention.
Approaching Karuṇā (compassion) and Śānti Rasa (the flavor of peace) as foundations for healing.
Throughout the training, you'll engage in guided practices and workshops including:
Grounding practices for body, breath and mind and learning to incorporate stress release through breathwork and and de-armouring flows
Lunar versions of sun salutations and opening sequences & variations of traditionally solar poses
Breath-led sequences that mobilise and nourish fascia, supporting whole-body integration; including practices for students with wrist, shoulder, or burnout sensitivities
